2nd Saturday

Every 2nd Saturday of the month, Asbury United Methodist Church hosts service projects across Tulsa that cross lines of every kind.  Churches are welcome to join in this effort to go out and minister the gospel by word and deed.  Church groups please touch base with the coordinator, (Betty Higgins 918.688.3246) to see how your church can become involved.

Organizations served include faith-based and community based ranging from an Assemblies of God Deaf Church, World Won’s EduRec Center, Victory Christian’s Food Bank, and everything in between.  Babies to great-grannies are welcome to come and serve.  Projects range in size and intensity and are held both inside and outside.

Participants gather in Asbury’s Venue 68 at 8:15 for a brief devotional and a chance to choose the project they wish to join.  Transportation leaves from The Venue by 9:00 am and returns by 12:00 pm. No tools are required to participate and everyone is welcome.  Participants complete paperwork on their first visit and simply sign in electronically on each subsequent visit.  Morning refreshments are available at check-in and bottled water is provided for everyone.
